How Scout works
Daily sync by default
On free Hobby hosting, Scout runs a scheduled sync about once a day. That pulls usage from connected providers into one month-to-date number.
Sync now anytime
After a heavy batch or overnight agent run, open the dashboard and click Sync now for a fresher total without waiting for the next scheduled pass.
Email after the check
When a successful sync finds spend over the threshold you set, Scout emails you — usually within about 24 hours of the overage on Hobby. Silence means you are still under budget.
Not a kill switch
Scout does not sit on the request path and does not cut API traffic. For overnight agents, keep a verified provider limit, key rotation, or gateway you operate.
